Export
Get up-to-date local information about export procedures and restrictions, demurrage and detention, container pick-ups and more.
From 1 October 2021, the Egyptian authorities are requesting Advance Cargo information for all cargo imported into Egypt. The impact is that we must have your Shipping Instructions no later than 36 hours before vessel ETA at first load port.
Please note that you will need to allow additional time if vessel ETA is a weekend or national holiday.
In order to comply with the new regulation and to avoid rolling of any cargo, we need Exporters or their agents to provide Advance Cargo Information Declaration (ACID) Mandatory References to Maersk as follows:
- ACID Advance Cargo information declaration: A 19 digit unique number.
- Egyptian Importer VAT Number: A 9 digit number.
- Exporter Registration Number
- Exporter Registration Country
If you need any assistance obtaining an ACID number, please visit local Maersk Company

Dear customers,
We are happy to announce and confirm that, according to your opinions and needs received from last months, the "re-use date" field has been activated and since April 2020 we can enjoy the full capabilities of the Avantida system. What this means for users, triangulation is performed according to the date entered in the "re-use date" field and not as before the date of application.*
To use Triangulation and avoid empty container reservation in our system, please always choose during new booking request (step 3 – Additional details) depot with name: “Poland Reuse Depot” – with this option, we will not release empty equipment for you but prepare booking for triangulation.
Maersk Team
*Only containers discharged from vessels in Poland use option “re-use date” - online requests will be proceed with date from “re-use” field.
