Free time and charges per container per calendar day (i.e. including week-ends and holidays) after free time expires. Start date and end date are included in the calculation.
The Free time and charges applied for Demurrage and Detention will be those in place at the origin Price Calculation Date (PCD).

Notes:
- Shipper’s Own Container is considered as equivalent to corresponding container type.
- 40´ High and 45´ High containers are considered equal to 40´.
- Shipper’s owned tank with DRY cargo follows free time & rate of Dry equipment
- Shipper’s owned tank with IMO cargo follows free time & rate of IMO.
- For special deals: Please bear in mind that the calculation method of charges for special deals (free-time granted > tariff free-time) is ‘progressive’ and the lead off rate slap(s) will be reduced by the number of days in excess of tariff free-time.
- NOR (non-operating reefer) is considered as Dry Container.
- Pricing structure in Ukraine consists of two elements; 1. Demurrage 2. Detention.
- Demurrage: Free time period and charges for utilization of equipment inside of terminals or depots. (invoiced under demurrage)
- Demurrage starts with gate-in full date (included) and ends with load on board date (included).
- Electricity fee for reefers in Pivdennyi terminal to be paid directly to terminal by customer.
- Electricity fee for reefers in Chornomorsk terminal to be charged by Maersk and is included in the demurrage charge.
- Port storage charge is directly paid to the terminals by customer in all ports/terminals.
- Detention: Free time period and charges for utilization of equipment outside of terminals or depots. (invoiced under detention).
- Detention starts with empty pick-up date (included) and ends with gate-in full date(included).
- For cancelled bookings and cancelled containers (by customer) Maersk applies origin country’s Export Detention or Combined DnD tariff rates directly as of gate-out empty to gate-in empty move , no freetime is applicable and it is valid for all bookings including SPOT and non-SPOT.

Booking amendment & cancellation (excl. SPOT\TWILL bookings)
In cases when confirmed shipment (excluding SPOT shipments) is cancelled, postponed or decreased in number of containers within period of 17 days before vessel ETA No show fee (Cancelation fee) per container is applied :
*USD 25 per container for shipment postponed since 17th day till 11th day;
**USD 50 per container for shipment cancelled/decreased since 17th day, postponed since 10th day till 0th day .
In case 18th day before vessel ETA is a non-working day, weekend or national holiday then booking cancellation or change is to be requested not later than the last working day before weekend or national holiday.

Weight Discrepancy Fee
Due to inaccurate cargo weight indication in bookings we continuously faced serious operational challenges. This had limited us in accepting additional cargo. Since 15th of August, 2009 Weight discrepancy fee usd 100 per B/L was implemented.
Weight discrepancy fee is invoiced when:
- B/L cargo gross weight differs from booked weight by more than 10% (greater or lower), but difference should be not less than 2mt.
- Discrepancy between VGM and Stuffed weight + Tare weight in shipping instructions is equal 2mt or differs more than 2mt (greater or lower).
- Declared VGM exceeds allowable payload as per CSC Plate (excluding SOC).
- Declared VGM is less than Tare Weight of the container. Any failures to follow 2-4 scenarios will result to excluding containers from loading on planned vessel and to applying of Weight discrepancy fee of USD 100 per bill of lading. Discrepancy should be fixed. Charge will be applicable at the moment once discrepancy has arisen & cannot be removed.
Manual Shipping Instruction procedure
Manual shipping instructions or manual bill of lading/sea waybill to be sent to Global service centre (PNQGSCIDX@maersk.com) . Manual shipping instruction fee is usd 100 per bill of lading/sea waybill.
Amendment of issued bill of lading/sea waybill is subject to Import Customs Manifest in import country and transport document re-issuance fee USD 25.
When the customer submits Shipping Instructions after documentation cut off date Late Transport Documentation Fee usd 50 per bill of lading is applicable. The charge will not apply if delays are caused due to Maersk errors..
Vessels certificates:
Sometimes our customers ask for vessels certificates from Maersk. Please find below a Transport Statements/Certificate example which includes all the clauses which can be produced in requested certificates. If a certificate request cannot be met by clauses mentioned in this example it can not to be accepted.
Special and hazardous cargoes
IMO class 1 (explosive) and IMO classes 7 (radioactive) are strictly forbidden for Ukraine.
IMO 1/2/5.2/6.2/7 HAZ cargo - Not accepted to/from Ukraine, Bosporus passage is not allowed.
IMO 5.1 HAZ cargo - Not accepted to/from Ukraine. In case cargo is Ammonium Nitrate request should be checked with Sales directly.
IMO 4.3 (UN 1397) is not accepted in Ukrainian ports.
IMO class 1 and 7 - Aluminum Phosphide - UNNO 1397- Zinc Phosphide - UNO 1714 is not accepted in Ukrainian ports.
UN 2590 (Asbestos) is not accepted to/from Ukraine.
All other IMO cargo is accepted for discharge to Ukraine only in 'direct mode' - i.e. from vessel directly to truck, without storage at terminals. Discharge of IMO containers from vessel is made only based on consignee's letter confirming readiness to take delivery in direct mode.
Transportation of special and hazardous cargo is subject to approval by Maersk.
