Demurrage and Detention is applicable when the customer holds carrier equipment in the terminal (Demurrage) and outside of the port, terminal, or depot (Detention) beyond the free time that is allotted. Calculations are based on calendar days, and the amount is per day, per container from the date of discharge till empty return at the prescribed depot. Storage is billed and payable directly to the port operator.
Non-operating reefers (NORs) are charged as DRY Non-IMO containers.
Shipper’s Own Containers (SOC) are not subject to Demurrage and Detention.

Free Time and Demurrage & Detention tariffs are applied based on the Effective Date of the deals in place at Price Calculation Date (PCD). Price Calculation Date (PCD) is the scheduled departure date (ETD) of the first water leg at the time of Booking Confirmation for contract bookings and is the booking date for Spot bookings.
Class 1/, 2.1/ 2.3/ and 3 with flashpoint ≤ 21°C cargo is for direct delivery to the inland transport and class 7 cargoes are not accepted in Djibouti unless otherwise instructed by the appropriate authority (Port officer in Charge of Dangerous cargo). It is requested you to take your cargo in the brief allotted time. Thereafter, you must arrange and make ready the truck before discharging all the containers with the above mentioned class

Break bulk cargo restrictions
Djibouti Container Terminal is restricted to a lifting capacity of 65 tonnes under spreader and 80 tonnes under hook. The terminal has very limited Break Bulk handling equipment and all Break Bulk shipments must therefore be approved by Djibouti office DJ.IMPORT@maersk.com before shipments can be confirmed
