What is Maersk’s policy on shipments involving Russia and any other EU, US and UN sanctions and export control laws?
All booking are subject to compliance with Maersk’s policy on shipments involving Russia and any other EU, US and UN sanctions and export control laws applicable. By proceeding, the Parties represent that their booking is in no way violating Maersk’s policy on shipments involving [but not limited to] Russia or any other UN, EU and US sanctions and export control laws, that the shipment does not involve any Iron or Steel products that incorporate Russian origin Steel or Iron inputs processed or transhipped in third countries, nor does it involve, directly or indirectly, any entity or person subject to sanctions and that their booking does not include any other items prohibited by sanctions and export control laws.
If their shipment is in violation of Maersk’s policy on Russia or any other EU, US and UN sanctions and export control laws, or any entity or person involved in this booking is an entity or person subject to sanctions or any items in their booking are prohibited by sanctions and export control laws, the shipment will be returned to the origin without exception, and the Parties will be responsible for all cost and risk for such return. The Parties agree that the Carrier may withhold release of cargo pending investigation to determine if the booking is in violation of sanctions and/or export control laws.
