- Maximum weight is 28tons gross for both 20' and 40'.
- Customers should take delivery of their cargo within three days once shipment arrives at destination.
Due to constraint on haulage regulation, max payload per truck has been restricted to 28 tons. Given rates for light 20’ dry containers (equal or below 14 tons) is subject to coupling - 20’ coupling rates are applicable only if 2x20’ matching units are available. In case there is no 20’ to couple with, the client will have the option to pay additional charges until 20’ unit is found or else to move his 20’ on single move with the rate of 20’ single (equivalent to 20’ heavy container- above 14 tons). All in All, in case of receiving an odd number of 20’ on a work order, MAERSK declines all responsibilities regarding storage, demurrage resulting from the time spent in the port due to non-availability of 20’ coupling unit on a truck.
