Weight / Measurement

Piraeus: max 28 MTS VGM for use of regular chassis.
In case of overweight max VGM is 31 MTS and a surcharge of 15% to be applied on top of the applicable haulage rate for use of triaxle chassis.

In case of VGM more than 31 MTS we can arrange special haulage with license of Ministry of transport and use of lowbed chassis. Cost to be advised upon request.

Thessaloniki: €50.00/MT over VGM 30 MTS and up to VGM 34 MTS, restriction of 34MTS (cargo + tare) applies.

Application: The free time & charges applied will be those in place on the origin price calculation date (PCD). Freetime: “Free Time” is the period agreed between the Carrier and the Merchant for which Demurrage & Detention and Terminal Storage shall not be paid by the Merchant.

Combined D&D: Compensation payable when the Merchant holds Carrier’s Container beyond the agreed amount of Free Time for the combined period of inside and outside the terminal, port, or depot. (invoiced as DETENTION)

Terminal storage: Compensation for utilizing the port, terminal, or depot facilities beyond the agreed amount of Free Time. (Invoiced as Demurrage)

• Reefer Terminal Storage includes plug-in/electricity charges.
• Non-operating reefer (NOR) is considered as Dry Container.
• Shipper's own containers (SOC) are not subject to Combined D&D and are subject to Terminal Storage.
• Shipper’s Own Container is considered as equivalent to corresponding container type and cargo type. Examples: A Tank with Dry cargo follows terms of Dry equipment, while a Tank with IMO cargo follows terms of IMO.
• 40´ High and 45´ High containers are considered equal to 40´.
• Special container: Open, Flat, Tank

Dry containers reuse policy

As of 1^st June 2019 all requests for equipment re-use on Merchant Haulage are being managed through Avantida digital platform.
Your truck carrier will need to register with Avantida at Avantida-The platform. Once registered in the platform, truckers will have access to Avantida 's automated request process, returning accurate responses within minutes and delivering time and overall cost savings.
A charge of 150 EURO will be applicable for approved equipment re-use requests and is payable directly to Avantida platform.

New Export Pick-Up & Import Drop-off surcharge tariff - Greece (15 02 2020)

In order to continue to maintain the quality of the services we provide, Maersk is implementing the Export PICK-UP and the Import DROP-OFF surcharge, effective as of 15^th February 2020.

All Customers can require empty container pick up or drop off from / to an inland depot or port different the from load / discharge port provided that request is received in written and Maersk has reverted with written authorization.

Notes:

1. Container pick-up might be restricted in case of equipment deficit at requested origin
2. Container drop-off might be restricted in case of equipment surplus at requested destination
3. Specific container numbers’ drop-off (off hire units) may not be authorized in alternative areas
