Kolkata & Haldia Port -Mandatory VGM Declaration in Web for Cartin Order Release, Effective from 16th June 2025

As per SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea), every packed export container needs to have a Verified Gross Mass (VGM) as a condition of loading aboard a vessel. Maersk fully supports this requirement and follow it effectively as it promotes safety across the industry.
In light of this requirement, VGM needs be available in Maersk system to plan the loading of each container on the nominated vessel, hence all our customers are requested to update VGM in Maersk Website for their shipment using our online tool at (Maersk.com) before applying Cartin order.
Effective 16th June 2025, Cartin order will only be released once the VGM is updated on Maersk website for each container under the respective shipment or booking number.
