New surcharge for requesting CMRs in Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, and Switzerland
As your integrated logistics provider, we would like to inform you that starting from 15th May 2025, copies of CMR documents will be issued with a 25 EUR fee. Our teams have noticed an increase in requests for CMRs, also known as a consignment notes, which are documents used in international road transport to standardize the rules and ensure smooth logistics processes. A CMR includes details such as the sender, carrier, and receiver information, type of goods, and carriage fees.
As a copy of CMR will be signed at the warehouse, meaning it is already available at the customer’s side before pick up, obtaining a copy of CMR is not a requirement for inland transportation. We understand that customers may want to obtain a copy for their records, and since this requires additional manual work from our teams, we will be implementing the 25 EUR charge as of 15 May for all inland shipments in and between Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria and Switzerland.
Our overall goal remains providing our customers with predictability and minimal disruption to their supply chains, and this new charge aims to improve efficiency of the overall operations.
We thank you for your trust and partnership and look forward to continuing to serve your logistics needs. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your local Customer Service representative.
