Import Customs Clearance

Standard full customs declaration, paying Duty & VAT upon arrival in the country to gain release of the cargo for onward delivery.

Export Customs Clearance

Standard customs declaration to gain permission to load the vessel and be exported outside of Norway.

Exclusions commodities import: Weapons, alcohol, narcotics, pork and pork products, pornographic materials, distillery equipment, retreaded or used tires, used clothing and certain sculptures.

Exclusions Commodities Export: green fodder including straw, zamzam water, fuelwood, wheat and monuments, historical and archaeological artifacts.

Additional Maersk Customs Services

Beyond acquiring clearances, we also offer requirement-based consultation and procedural assistance for your cargo:

• Issuance of Certificate of Origin (COO) - You may be required to declare that your cargo is produced in a specific country, to determine whether it's eligible for entry or entitled for any preferential treatment.
• Duty payment and consultation - On behalf of the importer/exporter, we process duty advancement to the customs. we also provide consultancy services for goods classification.

Imports

• Commercial invoice

• Certificate of origin (in case COO is not mentioned on commercial invoice)
• bill of lading
• Insurance certificate (CIF shipments)
• Any other relevant documents.
