Following the announcement of the AE15 service structural change to transiting via the Trans-Suez route, we are pleased to announce that we will also be adding a call in Jeddah on the service’s route in August. Through this, we look forward to offering our customers enhanced connectivity between Asia, Europe and the Kingdom of Saudia Arabia.
Next Steps
Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd will continue to monitor the security situation in the Middle East region very closely, and any alteration to services within the Gemini Cooperation will remain dependent on the ongoing stability in the Red Sea area.
The safety of the crew, the vessels, and customers’ cargo remains the highest priority.
Should the security situation change in the Red Sea, which may necessitate reverting individual sailings or the wider structural change of the service back to the Cape of Good Hope route, we have contingency plans in place.
When we are ready to make further changes to the Gemini network, we will inform you accordingly.
