GHG emissions research: the findings
The research has shown that chemical companies do have good allies in their stakeholders to reduce their logistics greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions faster, but still need to get crucial teams up to speed and take tangible actions.
Secondly, given the crucial role supply chains can play in mitigating climate change and taking into consideration that the chemical industry is a major source of GHG emissions, businesses need to coordinate with their logistics providers to reduce their climate impact . Ultimately, this can provide businesses with a faster achievement of their goals as well as the creation of a virtuous circle that can provide some additional benefits such as reduced cost, improved image among future employees and attraction of more investments
